The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District is excited to offer the opportunity for children to join our preschool program as Community Peers for the 2026-2027 school year. 

The following details outline the application process:

Eligibility Requirements:

• Children must be 3 years old by August 31, 2026.
• Proof of residency in the town of Dennis or Yarmouth is required.
• Community Peers must be toilet trained prior to enrollment.
• Families are responsible for transportation to and from school.

Application Timeline:

• Applications Available: Beginning March 2, 2026.
• Application Deadline: Applications must be completed and submitted to the Office of Student Services by March 31 , 2026. 

Lottery and Notification:

• A new student lottery will be held on April 10, 2026.(If the number of community peer applicants exceeds the available spots)
• Parents will be notified of acceptance on or before April 17, 2026.

Registration:

• Registration will open on April 20, 2026
• Registration will close on May 8, 2026

Preschool Screenings:

• Screenings for accepted students will take place between May 1 and May 29, 2026.

Additional Information:

• The date for Preschool Orientation and the first day of school will be determined and shared with families after registration.
